What We Do
Tessa's Tutoring is a Fort Worth-based company that grew from Tessa's deep passion for helping others in their educational pursuits. As the daughter and granddaughter of educators, she has long known and valued the importance of education. Through years of experience, her tutoring services have expanded and are now predominantly focused on college students. With an office located near Texas Christian University's campus, Tessa's Tutoring offers a convenient and private setting for tutoring in all subjects. Perhaps the greatest strength of Tessa's Tutoring is the ability to cover so many subjects, removing the need for multiple tutors, as students can break up sessions by covering material from various classes instead of just one class.
Who We Are
Originally from the St. Louis area, Tessa came to Texas as a young child. As the daughter of a teacher, she has always been involved in tutoring. Upon moving to Austin for college, she became even more involved in tutoring, as students in both high school and college used her services via a local tutoring business. After relocating to Fort Worth, her tutoring business became a full-fledged operation, as she has helped thousands of students pursue a plethora of degrees in fields ranging from finance and accounting to geology and nursing. A passion for education drives Tessa, as she wants students to find success and pursue their goals, regardless of setbacks or learning differences.
As a University of Texas at Austin graduate, one can easily identify Tessa's love of the Longhorns. Though she bleeds orange through and through, she has come to call Fort Worth home. Her daughter graduated from Texas A&M and works as a nurse in Amarillo while studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, and her husband graduated from Tarleton State! A diehard sports fan, Tessa often ventures to sporting events around the world with her husband, as she thoroughly enjoys the experience of new teams and new venues. Traveling is another major interest of Tessa's, as she has a deep love for Ireland. Aside from her travels, Tessa can be found in the company of her beloved dog, Dolly!
Rates
Tessa's Tutoring provides a wide range of services. These services range from academic and standardized test tutoring to resumé and interview preparation. Classes that have been tutored in previous semesters include: Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, Fundamentals of Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Investments, Money and Banking, Advanced Financial Management, Marketing, Criminal Justice and Strategic Communication to name a few. Services can be combined to the fit the needs and wants of each individual. The standard tutoring rate is $180/hour for a one-on-one session. When more than one student wants to attend a session, the rate is $120 per student. Payment is taken immediately online. Please inquire about editing and resumé preparation rates.
